79 // Belonging, Fitting In, And Building Her Yoga Practice With Gilly Bow

Do you ever crave a more aligned place to belong and fit in? In this episode I had a gorgeous conversation with fellow peer and yoga teacher, Gilly Bow.

Gilly shares about her journey to becoming a yoga teacher, to finding spaces where she feels belonging, and the power of self-compassion through yoga.

The topics we chatted about:

  • Belonging and fitting in

  • Social anxiety

  • Allowing yourself to be who you are

  • The inner critic and comparison

  • Syncing yoga with your menstrual cycle

  • How to be yourself in a yoga practice and tending to your needs

  • The difference between vinyasa, hatha, ashtanga, and yin yoga

  • The Eight Limbs of Yoga

  • Sleep yoga

Gilly Bow is a yoga teacher from Greystones and a mental health advocate ♡ she started her wellness page during covid to create a little community and support space for anyone who was having troubles with their mental health. Gilly then completed her yoga teacher training as a addition to this page and has been teaching for 2 years in her hometown. She has studied elements of somatic therapy , trauma informed yoga, energy anatomy and hopes to continue her studies into a 500 hour teacher training.
