34 // Reclaiming Our Relationship With Sport & Movement

See this content in the original post

In this episode, I was delighted to be joined with a former client, peer, and co-founder of Move2B, Órna Murray. We dive deep into our relationship with sport, movement, and why it can be difficult to get started.

Órna is the co-founder of the social enterprise Move2B with her sister Niamh. Move2B provides education and coaching for individuals and organisations to support young girls and women in sport across Ireland.

Órna dives deep into her personal journey as a competitive athlete and how she struggled with managing the sporting lifestyle in her 20s.

She offers wisdom and support for anyone struggling with their relationship with sport and movement, and lots of tips to enjoy it again if it was once difficult.

I also share my personal journey with sport and movement, and Órna very lovingly offers me some amazing words of wisdom.

We chatted about:

  • Our history with sport and physical activity

  • Orna’s journey with competitive athletics

  • Overachieving and stress

  • Health psychology

  • Young girls in sport

  • Ways to support yourself in your relationship with sport and movement
